Also part of a cement factory, this FlexCom 1000 composite flat belt expansion joint offers a unique feature: a replaceable floating liner made from highly abrasion-resistant AR400 steel, protecting the inner components of the belt. As the gas train for this industrial application is very dust laden, the ductwork leading to the baghouse required an expansion joint crafted from materials that could easily withstand a heavy abrasion, high temperature (up to 950° F/510° C) environment - an ideal task for an AR400 steel liner.
