Slight differences in the designs of individual duct flanges can sometimes make a secure fit tricky, which is why these FlexCom 800 expansion joints feature cage nuts along the leg-in mounting. Cage nuts provide a degree of "float" that makes a tight fit much easier to find. These flat belts are made from PTFE-coated fiberglass cloth and Teflon film, to protect both the belt and the joint itself from particulate matter in gas and exhaust transfer applications.
