Leg-In Style Design Expansion Joint With Overlapping Internal Flow Liners

FlexCom expansion joints are designed with internal accumulation pillows wrapped in stainless steel mesh, used to reduce the build up of dirt and other particulate contaminants within the joint. We use stainless steel mesh because it optimally preserves its shape in high temperature (1200°F) applications while also providing a fair amount of abrasion resistance. FlexCom joints featuring these double liners are most often used in exhaust systems, where highly contaminated gases must be scrubbed clean before being vented to the atmosphere.
